Adobe XD, which was created from the bottom up with speed and efficiency, gives you the ability to produce prototypes that feel and appear real, helping you to clearly communicate your design vision and maintain team alignment. Teams can work together to design the best experiences in the world with the help of Xd, a robust and user-friendly vector-based experience design platform. XD, which is accessible on Mac and Windows computers, can meet teams where they are working thanks to cross-platform interoperability.

Components & States

Use it anywhere after you've created it. Thanks to Adobe XD components, common elements like buttons and navigation may be reused and maintained evenly throughout your design. Once a Main Component has been created, any changes made to the main will be automatically reflected across all instances.

From the context menu-> Assets panel-> right click and make component.

A component comes with three main states: Default, Toggle and Hover.

Component states help in making micro interactions. Use component states to add hover, click, loading, and toggle effects to buttons as well as radio buttons and toggle effects. States helps organise the canvas, lowering the number of artboards required to create the same effects and flows.

The hovered and clicked states of a drop down's child instance are unaffected by changes made to its default state.

It can be tempting to jump straight in and start looping on the major components, but there are times when this can lead to unanticipated issues because of how the parent and child components behave differently.

An instance is a Main Component that has been duplicated. In the top left corner, a green hollow diamond represents a component instance. All instances are like the mirror copies of main components and reflects the changes of it.

When interacting with your prototype, use Hover State if you want the component to switch to a new state when you hover over it.

Hover State: You can create highlighting a button animation using Hover State.

Toggle State: When you wish to display different iterations of a component, such as one that is disabled or clicked, use toggle.

So, this blog discussed the points about components in Adobe XD. In order to learn more about it, join the Best Adobe XD Course from training institutes like ADMEC.
