The dino game, also known as the Chrome Dinosaur Game, T-Rex Runner, or simply the No Internet Game, has become one of the most iconic and beloved browser-based games of the modern era. Found tucked away within the Google Chrome web browser, this endlessly running dinosaur has entertained millions across the globe, often in the most unexpected of moments — when the internet goes down.
Gameplay Mechanics
The game is incredibly simple to understand, which is part of its universal appeal. The player controls a small, pixelated Tyrannosaurus rex as it runs endlessly across a desert landscape. The primary objective is to avoid obstacles — mainly cacti and, later, flying pterodactyls — by jumping or ducking.

Pressing the spacebar or tapping the screen makes the dinosaur jump.

Pressing the down arrow key makes it duck (introduced when pterodactyls appear).

The speed increases gradually, making the game more difficult over time.

The score increases the longer you survive, and there's no real end — it's all about how long you can last.

The simplicity of the control scheme and the minimalistic black-and-white design give it a nostalgic, arcade-like feel, which adds to its timeless charm.
